For over 20 years, the surgeons at Pacific Northwest Vein Center, a division of The Oregon Clinic, have treated varicose veins and venous stasis ulcers. The previous surgical treatment was ligation and stripping of the greater saphenous vein in the operating room as well as Unna boot and local wound care. The development of endovenous laser ablation as an outpatient minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins and stasis ulcers has been an exciting new development in the field of venous disease. The Pacific Northwest Vein Center is accredited by the Intersocietal Commission for the Accreditation of Vascular Laboratories (ICAVL) in the areas of Peripheral Venous Testing. All our surgeons are board certified by the American College of Surgeons and currently have an active practice in the Portland area.
